Environmental Scientifics Group Ltd. signs Trakka® license renewal with DINGO
Denver, CO 16 Apr 2013 – In 2009, DINGO announced a strengthening of its partnership with Environmental Scientifics Group Ltd (ESG) when it signed its third, multi-year contract to bring DINGO’s Trakka® software to the rail industry. ESG has recently signed its fourth extension with Dingo, further reinforcing a relationship that has continued for over ten years.
ESG is a leading laboratory-based oil condition analysis and monitoring provider in the United Kingdom. ESG services high-profile rail clients such as, Alstom, Bombardier, Eurostar, First Group, Hitachi, Siemens and all the major freight companies. The majority of rail operators and train maintainers within the UK are currently using oil condition monitoring; ESG, using Trakka®, is one of the most experienced and largest of the suppliers in this sector.
ESG currently monitors over 13,000 engine, gearbox and other traction components from freight locomotives and passenger trains using Trakka®. “Train reliability is critical in the UK as the effects of in-service failure are expensive and an inconvenience to its customers,” Dale Green, Business Manager at ESG commented. “Utilizing DINGO’s Trakka® tool has allowed our rail customers to realize increased fleet availability, reduced labor and maintenance costs and increased asset life.”
Bob Williams, DINGO’s Chief Business Officer noted, “ESG has continued to demonstrate that Trakka® is a powerful tool for rail maintenance operations. The rail industry is a strategic market for DINGO, but locomotive condition maintenance applications are also key to our global mining customers who own, operate or depend on rail assets. We appreciate the expertise ESG brings to this market.”
